Anderson Silva Delivers Honest Verdict On Jake Paul vs Julio Chavez Jr As Only Man To Face Both

MMA legend Anderson Silva is the only fighter to share the ring with both Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Youtuber-turned-boxer Paul clashes with former WBC world middleweight champion Chavez on Saturday June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Silva made the transition into boxing four years ago when he locked horns with Chavez in their six-rounds light-heavyweight bout at the Estadio Jalisco in Guadalajara, picking up a split decision victory against the Mexican.

‘Spider’ went on to face Paul just eighteen months after his win over Chavez, although he was beaten by the former Youtube sensation over eight rounds in Arizona, suffering a knockdown in the final round of their bout.

In an interview with ESNEWS, Silva’s son Gabriel Silva revealed who his father is backing to come out on top when his former rival’s meet later this month.

“He’s definitely going for Chavez.

It all depends on which Chavez we’re going to get on the night of the fight. If he’s going to be focused or if he’s been lacking around.

From what I heard he’s been training at Mayweather’s gym, I know a lot of those guys in there. So you can never count that out, I don’t even know if he’s ever been dropped, a guy like Jake might not have it to put him out. It’s going to be a good fight but my dad is definitely going for Chavez.”

Paul could move a step closer to securing himself a dream world title shot should he defeat Chavez, but the 28-year-old from Cleveland must do so in impressive fashion if he is to capture world honours against all odds.
