Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are almost set to do battle.

Tyson faces Paul on Friday in an eight round bout contested over two minute rounds, and it will be the first live boxing event broadcast on Netflix.

Paul is a Youtuber-turned-boxer who made his professional debut in 2020, and currently holds a record of 10-1 having defeated mostly MMA stars during his tenure.

‘Iron Mike’ will be looking to roll back the years in the fight, as he prepares to compete in his first professional outing since losing to Kevin McBride in 2005.

Tyson did have an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr in 2020, but with the boxing legend now 58-years-old heading into the fight with Paul, many onlookers have raised concerns about it taking place.

Former two-weight world champion Andre Ward has now offered his prediction, telling All The Smoke Fight who he is leaning towards.

“I’m going with Mike Tyson because it’s Iron Mike Tyson. Early on Mike’s going to have the edge and Jake will have to be careful because Mike does have that punch and will be fresh.

“As the fight goes on it leans more in Jake’s favour because the age will kick in and the reflexes aren’t what they used to be. Jake Paul is not trying to win a decision. Jake Paul wants to knock Mike Tyson out.

“He wants to be able to say he’s done something that few men in history have done. People will say the age, Jake doesn’t care about that. If he can get him on the canvas and knock him out, he’s going to go for it. I’m nervous.”

Fans have just hours left to wait until finding out how things unfold, and Evander Holyfield is another that has made a bold prediction for the fight.
