Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson is a little over one month away.
This controversial fight has divided the boxing word ever since it was first announced earlier in the year. It was originally scheduled for July, but the almost 60 year old Tyson suffered a medical issue that delayed it until November, when it will take place in Texas and streamed as the first ever live sporting event on Netflix.
Tyson – 30 years older than Paul – was the youngest ever world heavyweight champion when he lifted his first belt aged just 20, and that is a record he still holds almost four decades later.
‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ earned a fearsome reputation for knocking out all of his first 19 opponents inside the first six rounds, 12 of them inside the first.
They say that power is the last thing to go from a fighter and that is what Paul, who has had just 11 fights, one loss and 7 wins by KO, will have to be wary of in the ring.
Speaking to ESNEWS, former unified world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz was asked who will win the fight and he sided with ‘Iron’ Mike.
“I think Mike Tyson will knock him out, but I think me and Mike Tyson should do an exhibition match. That’s always been my wish.”
Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum disagrees with Ruiz and believes that age will be a huge factor and that Tyson has in fact no chance of winning of this fight, which is sanctioned officially by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
