Teddy Atlas Says There Is ‘Only One Guy’ Who Can Beat Usyk: “You Ready To Hear This”

Teddy Atlas has been speaking about who will eventually beat the great Oleksandr Usyk,

So far, this technical southpaw and former Olympic gold medalist has not yet lost in the professional ring. Since turning over in 2013, Usyk has cleaned out both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions to become the undisputed champion in both.

Along the way, he has beaten all comers including Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua twice and Tyson Fury twice, as well as current IBF world champion Daniel Dubois, who he now wants to fight again to become a two-time undisputed heavyweight ruler.

He has now been ordered to defend his WBO belt against Joseph Parker, a man in form but one not many would back to beat the Ukrainian.

Speaking on his own show The Fight, Atlas named the ‘one guy’ that will get the better of Usyk someday.

“Who’s there now to beat Usyk? You ready for my answer? The same guy who’s been on the rise to beat all the greats. Father time. The same guy who’s just laying in wait.

“Whether your name is Ali, Louis or your name is Uysk, just waiting, waiting for that chance to get you into that place. Father Time, the only undefeated fighter. Usyk’s 38 now, that’s the only thing. I’m not saying he’s showing signs of deterioration, no, and he lives the right life, and that’s important.”

As of yet, Usyk shows no signs of slowing down or growing more vulnerable in the ring. In his last fight, his second battle with Fury, he won even wider than the first contest with a unanimous decision on the cards. How much longer he can keep that going, only time will tell.
