The highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois is less than two months away.
The heavyweight rivals are set to lock horns once again two years since their first encounter in Poland, which ended with the Ukrainian icon stopping Dubois in the ninth round after he was floored with a controversial low blow four rounds earlier.
With their rivalry now reignited, the boxing world is set to witness yet another undisputed heavyweight championship fight, as WBC, WBA and WBO champion Usyk and IBF king Dubois will face each other on Saturday July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Heavyweight contender Martin Bakole recently made a shock claim that he ‘knocked out’ both men during sparring sessions, and in an interview with iFL TV, he was asked to predict what he believes will happen when Usyk and Dubois meet for a second time in a matter of weeks.
“Usyk, except me, beats everyone. Deontay Wilder I think is done. Usyk is a boxing man, boxing brain, boxing movement, I don’t think no one will stop him right now expect Martin Bakole.
“I know why I am saying that because I learn boxing from my brother, a southpaw, I know how to stop and cut off the ring. But Daniel Dubois doesn’t.
“I was expecting Usyk to get beat by ‘The Gypsy King’ but I was shocked he beat ‘The Gypsy King’ twice. Joshua is good, tough guy, but he doesn’t know how to cut the ring. Daniel Dubois will never change, he will just keep his style, but Usyk is [better] than him.”
Whilst Dubois has the opportunity to become the first British undisputed heavyweight champion of the ‘four belt era’, standing in his way is arguably the greatest fighter of this incredible generation of heavyweights.
