Martin Bakole Makes KO Prediction For Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte: “He’s A Small Heavyweight”

Martin Bakole will be a keen observer when Moses Itauma takes on Dillian Whyte.

This is a classic crossroads fight between fighters at different ends of their careers. Itauma is a 20-year-old and highly rated prospect with three KO wins inside the first two rounds in his last three fights.

Whyte is an old war horse who is nearing 40 and has been in lots of brutal fights with the likes of Derek Chisora, Joseph Parker and Alexander Povetkin.

Speaking to Seconds Out, top contender Bakole – a potential opponent for the winner – sees Itauma getting the victory.

“I think maybe Dillian Whyte will get knocked out. He’s been out for long. Moses is moving a lot. Like Usyk, he’s a small heavyweight; he doesn’t need to stay in front of a big guy, he is going to get knocked out, but I think he is going to move a lot and try to box him.

“Everyone knows Dillian Whyte after round four, five, six he gets tired and he starts fighting like someone who has never been in the gym before. If he can move his feet and lose a bit of weight, with his experience, he can maybe beat Moses but no, Moses right now, this is his time. I think he can knock him out to get in the mix.”

Whyte has indeed reported losing plenty of weight for this fight. It takes place this weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with the winner extremely well placed for the world titles that may soon become vacant.
