Martin Bakole has been taunting a fellow heavyweight before he gets back in action later this year.
Bakole was once billed as the bogeyman of the banner division and a heavily avoided opponent.
The Congolese puncher stands 6ft 6un and has beaten the likes of Mariusz Wach, Carlos Takam, and stopped the much hyped American rising star Jared Anderson while chasing any of the biggest names in the division.
He eventually landed a fight with Joseph Parker as a late stand-in and was stopped inside two rounds, though he had been out of camp when he got the call.
Since then, the 34-year-old has drawn with Efe Ajagba and has said he would be open to a rematch, but he is expected to return to the ring in early 2026 with Ben Shalom’s Boxxer following a frustrating 2025.
In a new post on X, Bakole has sent a threat to his old rival Tony Yoka, ahead of a potential rematch.
“This time you’re really going to vomit badly, Tony Yoka, just wait.”
Bakole, who took a surprise points loss to the much smaller Michael Hunter back in 2018, beat Frenchman and 2016 Olympian Yoka in May 2022 by majority decision.
The initial fight date was delayed by four months due to Covid restrictions and saw Yoka handed his first defeat. He was knocked down in rounds one and five of to the 10-round fight and never really got a foothold. Since then has has also lost to Takam and Ryad Merhy, but has since put together four low-key wins.
