Tony Bellew was known for his own big power throughout his boxing career.
The former cruiserweight world champion won 20 of his fights by stoppage, including his victory over Ilunga Makabu to pick up the WBC belt back in 2016.
He also claimed two knockout wins against David Haye, along with stoppages against the likes of BJ Flores, Edison Miranda, Ovil McKenzie and Valery Brudov in his career.
It means that Bellew is a big admirer of boxers with huge power, and he has named the man who he deems to be the greatest puncher in history.
The fighter in question is George Foreman, the boxing legend who was a two-time world heavyweight champion and widely regarded as one of the best heavyweights to ever lace up a pair of gloves.
Bellew has explained on social media just why he thinks so highly of Foreman, claiming that he is yet to ever see anybody replicate his skills.
“This is without doubt the greatest puncher boxing has ever seen! He knocked out living legends! I’ve never seen power like this at the level he was showing it at!”
Foreman ended his illustrious career with a fantastic record of 76-5, with an incredible 68 of those victories coming by knockout.
He famously knocked out Joe Frazier on two occasions, and also shared the ring with the likes of Muhammad Ali and Evander Holyfield.
Foreman still holds the record as the oldest world heavyweight champion in history at the age of 46 years and 169 days old, but that could now be in jeopardy after Wladimir Klitschko broke his silence on the rumours he could be set to make a shock return to boxing.
