Lennox Lewis and George Foreman had careers that overlapped for a few years but never ended up sharing a ring together.
Lewis turned pro in 1989 and went on to become a three-time world heavyweight champion having also picked up a gold medal at the Olympics in 1988.
Although he infamously had two upset loses along the way against Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman, Lewis avenged both by knockout and thus ended up beating every man he faced.
That includes the likes of Frank Bruno, Evander Holyfield twice and Mike Tyson before defending his belts for a final time against Vitali Klitschko in 2003 and then retiring having secured a legacy as one of the best to ever do it.
Foreman was just as decorated during his career from 1967 to 1997, famously with a decade out in the middle to become a born-again Christian and ordained minister.
Once he did return to the ring, he went on a famous run that ended with him picking up the world heavyweight title aged 45. By beating Michael Moorer by knockout, he put his name in the history books as the oldest ever man to lift a belt in the banner division.
In a round of winner stays on with Mail Sport Boxing, former world champion Tony Bellew was asked to pick a winner between the two and went with the American.
“Oh, I’m going to have to go ‘Big’ George, I’m sorry Lennox, I love Lennox, but sorry.”
Foreman recently named Mike Tyson as the most powerful man in boxing history.
