Tony Bellew is the latest person to suggest who Moses Itauma should fight next.

The 20-year-old southpaw sensation Itauma has quickly become one of the most talked about heavyweights on the planet. He has won all 13 of his fights, 11 of them by knockout and the last nine inside the first two rounds, including his most recent outing against veteran Dillian Whyte.

The problem now has become who to match him with. Some people believe he should be thrown in with two-time undisputed champion Usyk, while others feel it is too soon for the British talent who is still so young and relatively inexperienced.

In a new post on X, former world champion Bellew outlined who he thinks would be a good match for Itauma next time out.

“I think a very good fight for him would be Andy Ruiz.”

Ruiz is a former unified world heavyweight champion. He beat Anthony Joshua back in June 2019, though he celebrated his win a little too much and six months later entered the ring for the rematch well out of shape and was soundly beaten on points across 12 rounds.

Since then, he has fought just three times, beating Chris Arreola and Luiz Ortiz before drawing with Jarrell Miller last time out in August 2024.

He has been recovering from hand surgery for the last year, but recently declared himself fit and ready to return. Whenever he is back, he would indeed present a new challenge for Itauma with his granite chin and famously fast hands.
