Conor Benn has responded to the claims from Kell Brook that he would knock out ‘The Destroyer’ were he to come out of retirement.
Brook has not fought since his high-profile victory over longtime rival Amir Khan back in 2022. That fight in Manchester was widely seen as the final chapter in a career that included an epic world title win on away soil in America when he defeated Shawn Porter, as well as taking fights with the likes of Terence Crawford and Gennady Golovkin.
Former welterweight star Brook was set to fight Al Dah on April 11 in an exhibition in Dubai that was originally planned for the late Ricky Hatton, though with the troubles in the Middle East, that fight is now uncertain.
After Brook claimed that he could stop Benn were the two to fight, ‘The Destroyer’ was quick to respond via X.
“No you wouldn’t Ezekiel.”

The matchup between Brook and Benn has been floated before. At various points during Benn’s rise through the ranks, there was speculation about whether the two might eventually share a ring, though for various reasons, including nearly two years out of the ring for Benn due to a failed drug test, it never materialised.
Benn is fresh off the biggest win of his career having beaten Chris Eubank Jr on points late last year. Now, he is focused on winning his maiden world title, but must first get through Regis Prograis, whom he fights on the undercard of Tyson Fury’s return against Arslanbek Makhmudov.
