Conor Benn has been speaking about the power of Chris Eubank Jr. ahead of their rematch.

These two generational rivals put on an impressive show back in April after more than two years of prolonged and heated build up.

Benn came up in weight for the fight after only two low-key contests in that time, and Eubank was then restricted to putting on no more than 10lbs on the morning of the fight, with the same conditions likely to be in place when they do it again at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in November.

With the rematch now less than a month away, the pair have been discussing how they thought the first bout played out, and speaking to ATSFight, Benn discussed Eubank’s power admitted that he was caught ‘with a good shot’ late in the fight.

“He hit me maybe in, I think it was round nine or 10, he hit me with a shot, he caught me with a good shot, it was a good shot, one head shot.”

He then claimed he hit Eubank well “three or four times” and saw him stumble as a result. Eubank, however, used his weight advantage wisely and controlled the contest across the 12 rounds.

It was Eubank who ran out as the unanimous points winner, although it was a close contest from the first to the last bell and both men has to spend a night in the hospital, given how brutal it was.

Both men have already discussed what they would like to do after this fight, with Eubank Jr eyeing a match up with undisputed super middleweight champion Terrence Crawford and Benn suggesting he would like to pursue a welterweight world title.
