Conor Benn has been asked about a potential trilogy fight with Chris Eubank Jr.

The second fight between these two generational rivals was the complete opposite of the first, which took place back in April and saw Eubank run out as the unanimous points winner after an engaging 12-round battle with plenty of big exchanges.

The second time they met was a much more tactical fight. Benn established his jab and showed some solid boxing fundamentals on his way to a near perfect shut out of his older, more experienced and bigger opponent, including having his man down twice.

Speaking to The Ariel Helwani Show, Benn explained the one way he would consider a third fight with Eubank, who many think was weight drained on the night, although the man himself made no excuses beyond suggesting he had demons to fight in camp.

“I feel like it would have to be at 168, which don’t get me wrong I would do. I would go up to 168, I’m not bothered. When I look at another man I don’t go ‘oh he’s a big guy.’ I’d fight him at 168. That’s the only way something like that would happen and I don’t have any interest in going to 168. He wouldn’t agree to it unless it’s at 168, but there would be no benefit for me.”

Instead, Benn looks more likely to pursue a world title. He had hoped to hunt down WBC ruler Mario Barrios for a shot at his strap, but it was recently revealed that Barrios and Ryan Garcia could instead be fighting for the crown early next year.

Meanwhile, some are calling for Eubank, who is now 36 and has been a pro for more than a decade, to hang up his gloves.
