Conor Benn has admitted that he is looking beyond his second fight with Chris Eubank Jr.
Benn and Eubank rematch in November following a hugely entertaining first fight back in April. It was an all-action battle that came after more than two years of heated build up with Eubank coming out on top as many expected due to his extra size and experience.
Benn had been out of the ring for a long time going into the fight, so he will be hoping to reverse the result the second time around.
If he does, speaking to The Ring Magazine, he revealed that he has some lofty ambitions.
“I’d like to fight Barrios. Once I’ve got the WBC title, it’s a hard once cause I sit there and I go I’d like to fight all the Americans, they are currently killing it. Obviously, you’ve got Lewis Crocker here who won the IBF title but Devin Haney, Brian Norman, I’d love the winner.
“Shakur if he wants to come up, any of your top guys. You want to compare yourself to them, because we put them on a pedestal here so you really want to mix it with them and do a number on them.”
Benn has never challenged for a world title and Eubank is the best fighter he has faced. Any of the names mentioned would present another stiff test for a man who has had 24 fights as Haney and Stevenson have both won world titles in multiple divisions, and Barrios has been in with and drawn with the legendary likes of Manny Pacquiao.
