Conor Benn is looking to win his maiden world title in 2026.

Benn had two fights in 2025, both above his usual limit at 160lbs, and with his long time rival Chris Eubank Jr. The first was in April and despite showing plenty of aggression, he lost a wide points decision on the cards.

In the reverse, Eubank Jr appeared to be suffering with the weight cut and was soundly beaten over 12 rounds without ever really getting close to Benn.

Benn now returns to his more usual weight of 147lbs for a run at a world title he has craved so long.

Speaking to Sky Sports Boxing, Benn said he will be fighting the winner of the WBC world title fight between Ryan Garcia and Mario Barrios, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 21 February.

“I said I would be WBC champion, it was always a dream, so to be in touching distance and to be made mandatory for the world title, I’ll be there ringside, and it’ll be the winner. No doubt it’s Garcia, so Garcia Benn, I like the sound of that.”

He was then asked where he would like the fight in an ideal world.

“I would love to do it in Vegas. I know the T Mobile Arena is on hold for Cinco de Mayo, but I feel I’ve got to bring it here to the UK for the supporters, Another stadium sounds good doesn’t it?”

Garcia is best known for beating Devin Haney but then failing a drug test. He returned to the ring in May 2025 but took a loss to Rolando “Rolly” Romero, while last time out Barrios drew with the legendary Manny Pacquiao back in July.
