Bob Arum Predicts Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has outlined what he thinks might happen when Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua finally come to blows in December.

Arum has worked closely with Fury for six years, starting in February 2019 once he had already drawn with Deontay Wilder in the first of their three fights.

The pair stayed together until Fury announced his retirement in January 2025 and in the meantime, he beat Wilder twice and then lost back-to-back matches to Oleksandr Usyk, who relieved him of his WBC title.

After a year out last year, Fury returned in April to beat Arslanbek Makhmudov and also stopped Mariusz Wach in July. He is now deep in camp, sparring the likes of Olympic silver medallist Joe Joyce, and heads to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11 to face his long-time rival.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, legendary boxing promoter Arum predicted that his old charge will get the better of ‘AJ.’

“I think he’s a better fighter. I think Fury is a far better boxer than Joshua and I think he’s, at this stage, he has more left than Joshua. So I look for Fury to knock him out.”

Former two-time unified champion Joshua is coming off the back of a knockout of Jake Paul late last year and a second-round knockout of Kristian Prenga, although he was put down twice in the first round back in July.

He was also involved in a tragic accident in December, which saw him lose two of his closest friends and team members. The WBA belt will be on the line for what is one of the most anticipated fights of the year.
