Bob Arum is one of the most experienced and respected figure in the sport.

The former lawyer transitioned into boxing during the 1960s before establishing Top Rank in 1973. Since then, he has worked with a number of the sport’s most legendary fighters including the likes of Muhammad Ali, Thomas Hearns, Floyd Mayweather and Terence Crawford.

In more recent years, Arum has played a pivotal role in the development and progression of fighters such as Tyson Fury, Teofimo Lopez and Vasyl Lomachenko, who have all proven to be just several of boxing’s biggest stars that Top Rank have promoted within the last decade.

After working with an abundance of superstars throughout his long and storied career as a promoter, Arum believes the ‘greatest fighter of all time’ is a reigning undisputed world champion who he has worked alongside for the majority of his tenure.

Speaking to Jai McAllister, Arum revealed unbeaten Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue as the greatest fighter he has ever laid eyes on.

“Inoue is not only pound-for-pound the best in the world, Inoue is the best fighter I’ve ever seen, no matter what weight category or anything.

I have never ever in the almost 60 years I’ve been in boxing seen anything like Inoue.”

Inoue, who is known as ‘The Monster’, is often regarded as being the best fighter on the planet pound-for-pound. He remains undefeated through 30 professional outings, with 27 of these victories coming via knockout.

The 32-year-old currently reigns as the undisputed super-bantamweight champion, having also accomplished this feat in the bantamweight division. His next bout is set to come against Murodjon Akhmadaliev in Riyadh before the end of 2025.
