Hall of Fame inductee Tim Bradley has shared his thoughts on the upcoming heavyweight clash between Fabio Wardley and Joseph Parker.
Two of the best heavyweights in the world will meet when Wardley faces former WBO champion Parker in a 12-round clash at the O2 Arena in London this Saturday.
New Zealand’s Parker had been hoping to secure a showdown with undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk next but the 33-year-old has now been made to wait for this after the Ukrainian great was granted an extension with the WBO.
Wardley made his return to the ring back in June when he pulled off a dramatic 10th round stoppage victory over the previously unbeaten Justis Huni at Portman Road in Ipswich to capture the vacant WBA interim title.
One man who has now offered his thoughts ahead of the heavyweight battle is two-weight world champion Bradley, who has become one of the sport’s leading analysts in recent years.
Speaking on his own YouTube channel, Bradley didn’t hesitate to back Parker to get the job done, as he claims the New Zealander will knock Wardley out during the early stages of the fight ‘with a right hand’.
“It took me one round, one round to break down Wardley and Joseph Parker, one round apiece, took me one round. Wardley about to get knocked out.
“This fight about to go maybe four or five rounds at the most, if that, because Joseph Parker gonna knock him out with the right hand.
“It’s gonna be a right hand that’s gonna start it all. Yep, might be a single punch followed up by combinations but it’s gonna be a right hand.”
Parker will be hopeful that a victory over Wardley will cement his place as the number one contender to Ukrainian icon Usyk, who is expected to make his return to the ring at some stage in 2026 after he makes a recovery from his reported injury.
