Hall of famer Tim Bradley has shared his thoughts on a potential clash between Andre Ward and Anthony Joshua.
Ward made a sensational call-out to the two-time unified world heavyweight champion earlier this month, despite being away from the sport since he defeated Sergey Kovalev for the second time back in 2017.
Joshua has not fought since he was beaten by fellow countryman and former IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium last September, falling short in his attempt at becoming a three-time world champion.
The duo have gone back and forth with each other on social media this week, with both fighters appearing to be interested in doing battle at some stage in the near future.
Speaking on his own YouTube channel, two-weight world champion Bradley admitted that he ‘believes’ in Ward ahead of a potential clash with Joshua, as he questions the British heavyweight’s ability to deal with the 41-year-old.
“I believe in Andre Ward, you know, the skills pay the bills, you know mentality wise, oh he got it skill wise one, two mentality wise, man come on.
Anthony Joshua can’t think like Andre Ward, he ain’t got that toughness like him, he a real one, that’s for damn sure, and you know what, now that I think about it, Anthony Joshua ain’t got the feet to deal with Andre Ward, he ain’t got the feet or the knowledge to deal with him, nah, he don’t.”
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has recently confirmed that they are in active negotiations for the 35-year-old’s return to the ring, with news expected to drop at some stage in the coming months.
