Hall of Famer Tim Bradley has made a surprising admission about the preparations of Canelo Alvarez ahead of his clash with Terence Crawford.
‘Bud’ Crawford is set to make his first appearance at a new weight class when he shares the ring with the Mexican icon, having spent the majority of the past decade campaigning at welterweight where he became the undisputed champion with a victory over Errol Spence Jr in July 2023.
One man that has shown such a detailed interest in the impending ‘super-fight’ between the pound-for-pound stars is two-weight world champion and Hall of Fame inductee Bradley.
Speaking on his own YouTube channel, Bradley claimed that Canelo has had a ‘tremendous’ training camp ahead of his showdown with ‘Bud’, as he hints that the Mexican great could well be the hardest test of Crawford’s career.
“The last person that said that they was gonna knock out Terence Crawford was Errol Spence and you saw what happened, saw exactly what happened in that fight, however, this isn’t Errol Spence, this is Canelo Alvarez we’re talking about.
“Canelo’s had a tremendous camp I’m telling you. From Mexico to Tahoe, everywhere I mean he’s had a tremendous camp let me just tell you that, I know that for a fact okay, I’m in the industry, a lot of these other guys are not.”
Canelo has proved himself to be a dominant force at 168lbs since he made his debut at the division back in 2018, defeating the likes of Gennady Golovkin, Callum Smith and Jermell Charlo during this time, and he’ll hope to add Crawford to that list this weekend.
