Shakur Stevenson returned to the ring this weekend in his home city to score a one-sided points win over Artem Harutyunyan.

Stevenson showed his trademark movement and defence while putting in good work to the body of his opponent. He never looked in danger, but many fans felt less than entertained – the same review of his last bout against Edwin De Los Santos.

Still, no man is yet to make the WBC Lightweight World Champion look beatable, and he says he is ready to take on all comers.

Speaking to Fight Hype, Hall of Fame fighter turned pundit Tim Bradley said he would like to see Stevenson up the gears when so in control.

“For market value, entertainment value, of course you want him to stop him. That’s what people like to see. He could’ve. He missed his opportunity and he didn’t turn it up … He gotta start cutting off the ring a lot better and he gotta start putting combinations together. Shakur’s defensive-minded, he don’t wanna take no punches … At the end of the day, as long as Shakur’s comfortable with it, bro, he’s comfortable. He’s winning.”

As for the fight all fans want to see – Shakur versus WBA Champ Gervonta Davis – Bradley said ‘Tank’ is the only man with a chance of beating the 27-year-old from Newark.

“The only guy that I think can give Shakur a run for his money is Tank, cause his IQ’s right there with him and he got that power. That one-punch power to end the fight. Shakur ain’t never been hit, but if he catches him it could be it – but Shakur’s gonna make sure that’s not gonna happen, that’s the concentration he has.”

‘Tank’s co-trainer Kenny Ellis announced post-fight that he had secured a step-aside deal from Vasiliy Lomachenko to make the Stevenson fight next.
