Timothy Bradley Didn’t Hesitate To Name The Best Opponent Of His Career

Hall of Fame great Timothy Bradley Jr has revealed the best fighter he faced during his outstanding professional boxing career.

Known by his nickname ‘Desert Storm’, Bradley became a world champion at super-lightweight and welterweight during his tenure, producing 33 victories against just 2 defeats.

He shared the ring with a number of world class fighters along the way, including the likes of Lamont Peterson, Juan Manuel Marquez and Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao.

Perhaps the most memorable victory of his career came when he defeated Pacquiao in their first encounter back in June of 2012, a split decision win which saw him capture the WBO world welterweight title.

Pacquiao got his revenge in their rematch two years later, defeating Bradey by unanimous decision to reclaim the WBO title at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Their paths crossed for the third and final time in April 2016 and it was ‘PacMan’ who prevailed once again, outpointing ‘Desert Storm’ once again in their non-title showdown.

Speaking in a press conference shortly after their trilogy bout, Bradley gave plaudits to Pacquiao who he claims is the best fighter he faced during his memorable career.

“The best that I’ve ever faced in the ring. He was super smart tonight. He was always one step ahead of me.”

Pacquiao made a sensational return to the ring last year when he fought to a majority decision draw against former WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios, falling short in his attempt at becoming the oldest welterweight champion of all time.
