Hall of Famer Tim Bradley has dropped a shock prediction about Gervonta Davis‘ next move in the ring after he faces Jake Paul later this year.
It was announced earlier this week that reigning WBA lightweight champion ‘Tank’ will face Youtube-turned-boxer Paul on Friday November 14 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Davis had been originally pencilled in to face fellow countryman Lamont Roach Jr in a rematch next after their controversial first encounter ended in a draw, but these plans have now been shelved after Davis instead opted to face ‘The Problem Child.’
Speaking on his own YouTube channel, two-weight world champion Bradley predicted that ‘Tank’ will have just one more fight after he faces Paul, backing him to lock horns with Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao before he finally calls time on his career.
“I think he’s gonna have two [more fights]. This is one, the next one gonna be Manny Pacquiao I think, and then I think that’s when he’s gonna get up and he gonna say, ‘bye boxing, thank you so much.”
Pacquiao’s manager Sean Gibbons recently revealed that he would be open to making a fight between ‘PacMan’ and Davis at some stage in the near future, after the 46-year-old made a sensational return to the ring against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios last month.
Since it cannot happen next, the Filipino fighting sensation may instead look to a rematch with Barrios or a bout against Rolando Romero. He has also been called out by Ryan Garcia.
