Tim Bradley Names The One Fighter Gervonta Davis Is ‘Scared’ To Face

Gervonta Davis is largely considered one of the best fighters on the planet.

The reigning WBA lightweight champion has an undefeated record of 30-0, with an impressive 28 of those wins coming by knockout.

Last time out ‘Tank’ knocked out Frank Martin in the eighth round to retain his belt, whilst also holding stoppage wins over the likes of Ryan Garcia, Leo Santa Cruz and Rolly Romero during his career.

Despite his success, former world champion Tim Bradley believes there is one man that Davis is ‘scared’ to face, and that is WBC champion Shakur Stevenson.

A fight between Davis and Stevenson has been rumoured for a while but is yet to materialise, and Bradley explained on his YouTube channel why he thinks that is.

“Whatever you want to say about Shakur, Tank is scared to step in the ring with him, because if he wasn’t, he’d be trying to make that fight happen.

“I think Davis a tremendous talent. He is one of the best fighters in the world, but you have to fight the best so that we know how great you are.”

Stevenson is set to return to the ring on February 22 against up and comer Floyd Schofield after recovering from hand surgery which ruled him out of a defence against Joe Cordina in October.

‘Tank’ has recently made his fight against Lamont Roach Jr official for March 1 in Brooklyn. Should both men come through as expected, fans will once again demand a unification which pits Shakur’s impenetrable defences against Davis’ fight-ending power.
