WBA light Heavyweight champ Juergen Braehmer retained his title with a 12 round unanimous decision win over old rival Eduard Gutknecht at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, Germany on Saturday night.

WBA regular light Heavyweight champ Juergen Braehmer, 48-2-(35), retained his title with a 12 round unanimous decision win over old rival Eduard Gutknecht, 29-4-1-(12) at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, Germany on Saturday night.

Braehmer was the more powerful of the two and landed the heavier shot against a challenger who looked busier at times and he was effective until Braehmer started landing his big shots.

Gutknecht was deducted a point in round 10. The scores were 116-111 twice 118-110.

Braehmer had previously out-pointed Gutknecht three years ago.
