Frank Bruno Makes Official Prediction For Usyk vs Daniel Dubois: “I Can’t See Anything Else”

Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois will soon be in the ring for their undisputed heavyweight showdown.

The two fighters meet this evening at Wembley Stadium in London looking to crown another sole ruler of the banner division, with Usyk the current WBC, WBA and WBO champion while Dubois is the IBF title-holder.

Usyk became undisputed in May 2024 with a win over Tyson Fury, but had to vacate the IBF belt in order to fulfil the rematch against Fury, allowing Dubois to claim it and defend it in style with a knockout win over Anthony Joshua in September.

Usyk and Dubois have already met once back in August 2023, with Dubois looking for revenge this time around after the Ukrainian claimed a ninth round stoppage victory just under two years ago.

One man who is ringside for tonight’s clash is former world heavyweight champion Frank Bruno, and he told Talksport that while he is backing his fellow Brit, he can’t see past a victory for Usyk.

“He’s very very tricky, very very smart, very very clever. Dubois could use his strength. He’s got a good jab and can do a good job on him, but I can’t really see it. I hope he can prove me wrong. I’m picking Usyk but he’s got a puncher’s chance Dubois. He’s got to go over there, rush him, bully him, use his weight and use his power against him, but I can’t see it, but I hope I’m wrong. I hope he wins it and shuts me up.”

Bruno isn’t the only former British world heavyweight champion to break down the fight, with Lennox Lewis also offering his thoughts.
