Frank Bruno Didn’t Hesitate When Asked If Anthony Joshua Or Tyson Fury Beat Prime George Foreman

Frank Bruno has been asked whether either of Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury would have been able to beat a prime George Foreman.

Foreman is one of the heavyweight division’s most legendary fighters. He was a two-time heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medallist who will always be best known for a stunning second round knockout of the then-undefeated Joe Frazier in 1973.

His first loss came a year later to Muhammad Ali in the legendary Rumble in the Jungle. He also shared the ring with the likes of Evander Holyfield, Gerry Cooney, Bert Cooper, Ron Lyle and Ken Norton and after what he referred to as a born again experience.

He had time away from the ring only to return and get back to the top level despite his advancing years. After boxing, he has a successful career as a businessman and minister, and only passed away in March of this year.

In a new video on TikTok, former heavyweight ruler and much-loved Brit Bruno was asked to play winner stays on, and first was a fantasy fight between Joshua and Forman.

“George Foreman.”

Then he was pitted against Tyson Fury, and Bruno went the same way, again picking Foreman.

Foreman still holds the record for being the oldest ever world heavyweight champion when, at 46 years of age and 165 days, he knocked out 26-year-old Michael Moorer to lift the WBC world title.

‘Big George’ eventually retired in November 1997 after losing to Shannon Briggs with a record of 81 fights and 76 wins.
