Former unified heavyweight champion Buster Douglas doesn’t think that Anthony Joshua versus Mike Tyson would be a difficult fight for one man to win.

American Douglas is most famous for having secured one of boxing’s biggest-ever upset wins. It came at the Tokyo Dome out in Japan back in 1990 and saw the huge 42-1 betting underdog stop the then-undefeated and undisputed heavyweight champion Tyson by knockout.

In his next fight just a few months later, Douglas lost the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles to Evander Holyfield and never won another belt again.

Meanwhile, Tyson dealt with court cases and changing trainers and later picked up the WBC and WBA titles. He was later dethroned by Holyfield and then failed in his final shot at world honours when he came up short against Lennox Lewis in 2002.

Recently, Douglas was asked by Gambling Zone how Tyson would fair against current star Joshua and claimed it would have been an ‘easy night’ for his old foe.

“All of Mike’s opponents were easy for him until he fought me. Joshua is no different than anybody else, so yes, Joshua would have been an easy fight for Mike.”

Joshua is a two-time heavyweight champion of the world looking for a third stint with a fight for a vacant belt now being lined up for September.

Tyson was due to be fighting again next month at the age of 58 almost 20 years since the last of two back-to-back losses ended his career in the ring in 2005, However, an ulcer flare-up has delayed the controversial contest with 27-year-old YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul until later in the year.
