Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford are now less than two weeks away from their ‘super-fight’.
‘Bud’ Crawford will make his first appearance at 168lbs when he faces the Mexican icon, after beginning his career at lightweight and spending time in the super-lightweight and welterweight divisions.
Canelo has fought at super-middleweight since 2018 and has been the undisputed champion on two separate occasions, the latest of those reigns beginning in May when he defeated William Scull by unanimous decision in an underwhelming performance.
Some of boxing’s biggest names have already made some interesting predictions ahead of the battle, and now a Hall of Fame inductee has weighed in with a bold prediction of his own.
Speaking to Fight Hub TV, two-weight world champion Tim Bradley shared his thoughts on the much anticipated showdown and can’t see how Canelo could knock out Crawford if he wasn’t able to stop Jermell Charlo.
“If Canelo couldn’t knock out [Jermell] Charlo, are you really thinking he’s gonna knock out Crawford?
I would pick Terence Crawford to beat a Canelo Alvarez even at 168, everybody can call me crazy and whatever you wanna say, I get it, y’all didn’t believe me when I told you about [Errol] Spence but trust me, Crawford will figure out a way.
I know a secret y’all don’t know and I ain’t gonna tell you why I would pick Terence Crawford but it’s part of the secret is the reason why I’m picking him to win the fight.”
With the fight quickly approaching, it will all soon be revealed just how the highly-anticipated clash does indeed play out.
