Carl Froch Called Out For ‘Massive’ Comeback Fight: “I Strongly Believe I Beat Him”

Carl Froch has been retired for more than a decade, but has often spoken about a comeback fight.

The British former super middleweight champion held several belts on many different occasions and is one of the most accomplished fighters of his generation.

‘The Cobra’ was known for his granite chin and for throwing heavy shots right until the final bell. Most famously, he had two fights with George Groves: the first saw him put down in the opening round but rally to a controversial early stoppage, and the rematch in May 2014 saw him win with an impressive one-punch KO at Wembley Stadium.

Since then, he has remained an ever-present in the boxing world, often getting into social media spats with current and ex-fighters.

The latest of those is mixed martial artist Darren Till who has now spoken to iFL TV and called him out for a fight this year.

“100%. If I was to fight Carl Froch at boxing, as I’ve said, be a terrible night for both of us. I strongly believe I would beat him if I could get the weight on the money correctly. I’m not saying anything other than I understand what a tough night it’d be for me, I really do. I’d need a 12-week camp for Carl Froch if it was going to become a reality.”

Till got his most recent win back in May when he took a unanimous decision over Darren Stewart having already had 24 fights in MMA, recording 18 wins, 10 by KO, along with five losses against the likes of Tyron Woodley and Jorge Masvidal.

The pair have formerly exchanged heated words on social media before now and the fight would be a huge affair was it to happen.
