Carl Froch‘s latest falling out with Anything Joshua is rumbling on.

The former super middleweight star first had a go at Joshua when the former two-time heavyweight champion left his long-time coach Rob McCracken and shared some public criticisms.

More recently, ‘The Cobra’ grew upset with his fellow Brit, sharing some private WhatsApp messages in which Joshua said he didn’t like him. Since then, he has put out videos with barbed comments about Joshua’s motivations, his mental state, the nature of his losses, ‘having his soul taken away’, and plenty more.

Speaking to BestOnlinePokerSites, Froch has now said Joshua would lose to a prime Frank Bruno.

“It’s all about timing. The Frank Bruno that fought Lennox Lewis, that Frank Bruno beats Anthony Joshua. I’m sorry but he just does.

Look at that fight if you haven’t seen it. That was a good one. It’s all about timing.

You can’t hold that against Joshua or any of the current heavyweight but it’s very thin now. The landscape of heavyweight boxing is not what it used to be.”

Joshua has often been compared to Bruno and been told he has a similarly upright style. One thing they do share is punching power. Bruno notched up 38 knockouts in 40 wins, giving him a 95% knockout-to-win ratio.

Bruno eventually become world heavyweight champion in 1995 at the fourth time of asking when he beat Oliver McCall over 12 rounds but would lose it in his next fight when he lost to Mike Tyson for the second time in his career.
