Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury step into the ring for their much anticipated rematch on December 21.

The two heavyweights will battle it out for supremacy in the division and three of the four world titles having first gone to war back in May for undisputed honours.

It was Usyk, the former undisputed cruiserweight king, who came out on top in that one after a close-fought battle across all 12 rounds. A standout ninth in which he hurt ‘The Gypsy King’ considerably was enough to give him the win on the cards.

Since then, Fury has spoken about being overconfident and has promised that the second time around, as he attempts to avenge the first-ever loss of his professional career, he will be more focused.

In the meantime, Carl Froch has told casino.org. that he thinks the fight is Usyk’s to lose given their careers to date.

“The first fight was a close one. Or at least it was very close until Fury got knocked down in round nine. It’s going to be interesting. Usyk is 37, he’s older than Fury, but he lives the life. It’s not the age of the fighter, but the miles on clock. Fury has more miles on the clock, having had three tough fights against Deontay Wilder, then he was on the floor against Francis Ngannou.”

He then revealed exactly how he sees the fight going.

“I’d predict a Usyk win, probably on points. I couldn’t rule out the late stoppage, because if Fury does go for it as he suggests he will, he could gas out towards the end of the fight. It would be great for British Boxing if Fury could win it, as then we might even see a third fight. It’s just an incredibly tough ask for him.”

Opinion remains largely split about who will come out on top, with the last undisputed heavyweight champ Lennox Lewis picking Fury given that he has a history of changing styles in rematches, as he did against Deontay Wilder.
