Carl Froch is confident he knows who will be victorious between Moses Itauma and Dillian Whyte.
It was announced this past week that rising star Itauma will take on former world title challenger Whyte in a heavyweight battle on August 16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
It is set to be Itauma’s toughest test to date, with the youngster having become arguably the most exciting prospect in the sport since making his debut back in January 2023.
He has put together an undefeated record of 12-0, with 10 of those wins coming by knockout, stopping fighters such as Demsey McKean, Mariusz Wach and Mike Balogun in his career so far.
As for Whyte, he’s set to return for the first time this year following two victories in 2024, having picked up stoppage victories over Christian Hammer and Ebenezer Tetteh.
Those were Whyte’s first bouts since 2022, with the Londoner hoping a victory over Itauma could see him return back to world title contention, after previously challenging Tyson Fury unsuccessfully for the WBC heavyweight title.
Former super-middleweight world champion Froch has made his prediction for the upcoming clash, telling his Froch On Fighting YouTube channel that he feels Itauma will ‘flatten’ Whyte.
“Dillian Whyte I think is about finished. He’s up to fight Moses Itauma as well. I think Moses is going to absolutely outclass and probably flatten Dillian Whyte and that’ll be the end of him.”
Fellow British heavyweight Dave Allen has also made a similar prediction for the fight, after previously taking on Whyte nearly a decade ago.
