Mike Tyson will return to the ring this winter to face Jake Paul in a fight that has been largely criticised by boxing fans.

Despite having considerably more experience, training and knowledge of the sport, Tyson will be the older man by 31 years and has suffered various health ailments since his last pro fight in 2005.

Paul, 27, has kept active since his entry into the sport, largely over retired MMA fighters, and has shown he packs a solid punch. He will face Tyson over eight two-minute rounds with 16 ounce gloves on.

Speaking to Best Anonymous Casinos, former super-middleweight champion Carl Froch said that ‘Iron’ Mike was too old for the fight.

“I think Mike Tyson’s too old to be in the ring. I think that was shown when he got carried off the aeroplane with his bad back … [It’s a pro fight] just to create more f***ing stir. That’s just to piss more people off.

He went on to briefly praise Paul for his marketing savvy but quickly returned to criticising him as a competitor.

“One thing I’ll say about Jake Paul is he’s a marketing genius. He’s got his audience that all follow and watch him, so you’ve got to admire him with all the revenue he’s able to generate with his bulls**t.

My only beef with Jake Paul is he can’t really fight, he can’t call himself a professional boxer. He’s not even in shape. He looks fleshy. I don’t even know if he takes the training that seriously … It’s ridiculous. He’s got a massive weight advantage on most of the guys he fights … [his fights are] mismatches. It’s an unfair advantage. He’s that much of a bitch, he makes it so he’s so much heavier than his opponent.”

Tyson and Paul face off on November 15 in Texas after the initial fight date was postponed due to an ulcer flare-up on the former heavyweight champion’s part.
