Carl Froch is known for speaking his mind and now he has told one heavyweight contender to hang up the gloves.

Froch is a former unified super-middleweight champion but now switched the boxing ring for the studio.

‘The Cobra’ has been reacting to the news that heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora is trying to lure Tony Bellew out of retirement for a clash in Manchester. After his upset victory over Joe Joyce, ‘Del Boy’ told Seconds Out about his plans to take on ‘The Bomber’.

“Between you and me, I might get Tony [Bellew] out of retirement. It will happen. We’ll do it in Liverpool or Manchester.

What’s wrong with that? I always wanted to fight him. He beat up my old manager so I just want to get revenge for David [Haye].”

On his YouTube channel, ‘Froch on Fighting’, The Hall of Hamer dismisses the chances of the fight happening and implored Chisora to retire.

“They won’t fight each other Bellew likes Chisora too much. Chisora is borderline poorly he’s been getting smashed in the head too much, it’s not healthy, I think he needs to retire, but he doesn’t want anyone to tell him to retire, so I’m telling you, ‘Derek Chisora retire! You’ve taken too many punches to the head and it’s not good for your health’.

Tony Bellew will not punch Derek Chisora in the face, he loves him too much so that fight won’t happen. Bellew won’t fight Chisora.”

Chisora looks unlikely to take Froch’s advice as he’s made it clear he wants two more bouts to reach 50 career fights.
