An unbeaten world champion has vowed to rack up victories over two of the biggest names in the sport: Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez.

Mexican great Canelo is less than four weeks away from his much anticipated super fight with Terence Crawford, as he makes a defence of his undisputed super-middleweight championship against the 37-year-old American on Saturday September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As for Benavidez, the 28-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona is gearing up to make the first defence of his WBC light-heavyweight title against Britain’s Anthony Yarde on Saturday November 22 at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

One man that has thrown his name into the hat for potential clashes with both is unified WBO and IBF world middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly, who remains unbeaten through 17 outings since his debut back in 2016.

In an interview with Boxing Scene, Alimkhanuly expressed an interest in facing both Canelo and ‘The Monster’ in the near future, as he claims he would be willing to move to ‘any weight’ to make these fights happen.

“When I just turned pro, I told my team I could fight at any weight, so if the opportunity comes to fight Canelo at super middleweight, or even David Benavidez—whether at a catchweight or at light heavyweight—I am prepared to take those steps in the future.”

“My goal is to fully unify the middleweight division. I am going to stay here until I get all the titles. Of course, I will move up for the right offer but I want to become undisputed champion and don’t want to give the other fighters any excuses to avoid me.”

The 32-year-old from Kazakhstan made his most recent world title defence back in April, stopping Anauel Ngamissengue in the fifth round of their clash at the Barys Arena in Astana. He is currently looking to unify further against Carlos Adames.
