Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul goes down tonight.
The showdown has been nearly one year in the making but finally takes place on Friday, contested over eight two-minute rounds at the AT&T Stadium In Arlington, Texas.
The event will be broadcast live on Netflix, and sees a 58-year-old Tyson competing in his first professional fight since 2005.
Paul was just eight-years-old when that happened, but the now 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer has rightly or wrongly quickly become one of the biggest names in the sport.
His rise within boxing has come from mainly fighting former UFC stars, defeating the likes of Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley and Mike Perry.
It means that many still have question marks over Paul’s actual boxing ability, and a former world heavyweight champion that beat Tyson has now had his say on his skills.
That man is Buster Douglas, who shocked the world when he upset ‘Iron Mike’ and earned a tenth round stoppage victory in 1990 to dethrone his former rival. Whilst speaking to Gambling Zone, Douglas needed just one word to sum up Paul’s ability.
“Limited.”
Douglas then explained how that will be a factor in the fight.
“The ability Jake has does not make him a real threat to Mike. Anything is possible in the ring, but I don’t think this is too big of a risk for Mike.”
Douglas isn’t the only one to sum up ‘The Problem Child’ in a short manner, with boxing legend Roy Jones Jr also doing so in just four words ahead of the fight.
