Jake Paul is gearing up for his shock clash against Gervonta Davis later this year.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul will face WBA lightweight champion Davis at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday 14 November, with the event broadcast live on Netflix.

‘The Problem Child’ has weighed as heavy as 227lbs in his career, while Davis has never come in higher than 140lbs in his career, having claimed world honours at super-featherweight, lightweight and super-lightweight.

There is also eight inches in height difference between the two men, and it has so far caused a wide range of predictions from the boxing world, with some believing Paul will be far too big, while others feel the boxing ability of ‘Tank’ will prove to be the difference.

The last man to face Paul was former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, who was beaten by unanimous decision against ‘The Problem Child’ when they fought in a cruiserweight contest at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California in June.

Speaking to FightHype after that bout, Chavez Jr gave his take on the punching power of Paul, admitting that he was impressed by ‘The Problem Child.’

“He has a good punch, good puncher. He’s good physically. No excuse, he won more rounds, I waited too much.”

Paul currently has a record of 12 wins and 1 defeat, with 7 of his victories coming by knockout, having stopped the likes of Mike Perry and Tyron Woodley in his career so far, but time will tell whether he can display that power against someone as talented as Davis.
