Anthony Joshua‘s old friend Derek Chisora has made his final prediction for the fight with Jake Paul this weekend.

Few could have predicted that ‘AJ’s one and only contest of 2025 would be an eight-rounder against Jake Paul, the YouTuber turned novice pro who has had just 13 fights, and only once weighed more than the cruiserweight limit.

He has lost one of those to Tommy Fury and has recorded wins against a 58-year-old Mike Tyson and several former MMA stars who have crossed over to boxing.

Joshua has all the advantages in terms of size, power and experience, with the one caveat being that he has not fought for more than a year.

What’s more, last time out in September 2024 he took a bruising stoppage loss at the fists of Daniel Dubois, who knocked him down and then out inside five rounds in their IBF world title fight at Wembley Stadium.

This fight takes place under professional rules and with both men wearing 10oz gloves on December 19.

Speaking to The Sun Sport, fellow heavyweight contender Chisora didn’t hold back with what he wants to see happen when both men step into the ring.

“Knock this motherf**ker out, man. If the fight goes past round two, I’m turning off my Netflix.”

Many people in the sport and fans around the world think the same thing. For Joshua, the only way to come out of this without losing face is an early stoppage win so that he can then go on to much more legitimate contests in 2026 with the likes of Tyson Fury, or else chase down his third world title.
