Derek Chisora has always been a mischievous character and has now shared the name of the opponent that Daniel Dubois could fight on his return to the ring.

Dubois has been out of action since last August when he took on Oleksandr Usyk in defence of his IBF world title, with Usyk’s WBO, WBA and WBC belts also on the line.

The Ukrainian great had too much on the night and stopped Dubois inside the first half of the fight to walk away as as a two-time undisputed heavyweight ruler. The pair had also met back in the summer of 2023 when Dubois was stopped in the ninth round.

After that, the Brit put together a superb run of wins by knocking out Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and then the former unified champion Anthony Joshua inside five rounds at Wembley Stadium in September 2024.

Following his loss to Usyk, he changed trainers but recently reverted to his long-time coach Don Charles and is now hoping to be back in the ring this year and fight for world titles.

Speaking to Seconds Out, ‘Del Boy’ seemingly revealed some inside information about who ‘DDD’ could be facing next.

“I’ll tell you a scoop. Daniel is fighting Fabio [Wardley]. Don’t tell anyone.”

Wardley is the WBO heavyweight world champion and has been since he was elevated following his KO win over Joseph Parker last year, after Usyk vacated the belt rather than defend it against him.

He is now looking for big fights with the division’s biggest names, and an all-British clash with fellow big puncher Dubois would certainly fit the bill, though promoter Frank Warren has since talked down the match-up.
