Derek Chisora thinks he knows exactly what will happen when Moses Itauma fights Jermaine Franklin this weekend.
These two heavyweights are set to meet this weekend after the initial fight date was delayed form January due to an injury sustained by Itauma.
Franklin has fought twice in the UK before, and both times he took his opponents, Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, the full 12 rounds.
Itauma is a hungry young heavyweight who initially wanted to beat Mike Tyson’s long standing record and become the youngest ever world heavyweight champion, though time eventually got away from him.
He is still only 21 and is now a veteran of 13 fights. 11 of them he has ended early with impressive knockouts, while nine have come within the two rounds, Last time out he blasted out former world title challenger Whyte within the first round back in August.
Speaking to The Sun Sport, Chisora – who has his own huge fight coming up next month with Deontay Wilder – made a bold prediction for how this match-up could go.
“First minute of round two.”
Should Itauma win in such a quick, conclusive fashion, it would be a huge statement given how durable Franklin has previously proven himself to be.
The focus would then shift once more towards a world title with the likes of WBO belt holder Fabio Wardley soon to defend his strap against Daniel Dubois and the winner of that fight, as well as WBA regular champion Murat Gassiev, both being potential opponents in the future.
