Fabio Wardley puts his British Heavyweight Title on the line against Frazer Clarke for a second time following a thrilling draw back in March.

The fight was the first time each man went twelve rounds and found a comfortable home alongside other classic fights for the same belt. Wardley scored the lone knockdown but a recovered Clarke, despite also being deducted a point for low blows, managed to bounce back and do enough to to earn a split draw on the cards.

Speaking to IFL TV, fan-favourite Derek Chisora said the fight would be different this time around due to the setting.

“The fight won’t be the same fight we had in London. Bank holiday, people got nothing to do, energy’s different, you understand? Saudi energy – they’re very reserved, want to to enjoy the fights, no drinking, no nothing. The fighters are gonna have to inspire themselves to win this fight.”

Whilst Wardley has been in more blood and guts wars and may have the advantage in summoning that fire, Chisora is backing Clarke by stoppage due to the scar tissue on the champion’s nose.

“If I’m not mistaken I think Frazer Clarke will win it because I think he’s gonna pop Wardley’s nose. There’s gonna be so much blood coming out and they’re gonna stop the fight. That’s my 100% prediction, bro. That nose is gonna stop the fight.”

Much has been made about the potential for cuts on Wardley, who played the possibility down by saying that this is boxing ‘not Tiddlywinks.’ What’s not in doubt is that the all-British heavyweight clash has the potential to be the standout fight from the undercard of Artur Beterbiev’s undisputed light-heavyweight title bout against Dmitry Bivol.
