Derek Chisora has spoken about a fantasy match-up between Oleksandr Usyk and Evander Holyfield.
They are two of only three men who have ever won belts at cruiserweight and then moved up to the banner division and also claimed a world title, with Brit David Haye being the other.
More than just win a belt, though, they both cleaned out the cruiserweight division in their time to become undisputed champions, with Usyk doing so in the four-belt era.
He then moved up and repeated that trick with victories over the likes of Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois and Tyson Fury, securing his status as one of the best boxers on the planet and in the conversation for greatest of all time.
Usyk also beat 48-fight veteran Derek Chisora at heavyweight. ‘Del Boy’ is soon to fight Otto Wallin in his 49th contest, but ahead of that he spoke to Seconds Out and predicted how a fight with ‘The Real Deal’ might go at cruiserweight.
“I would give my money to Usyk, He keeps moving, he adapts everything he does.”
Usyk could well retire now having essentially completed boxing. However, he maintains he is ready to keep going and contest the undisputed title for a second time. To do that, he would have to beat whoever comes out on top when Daniel Dubois fights with Joseph Parker on February 22 in Saudi Arabia on a huge card that also features Artur Beterbeiv’s undisputed rematch with Dimitri Bivol at light heavyweight.
