Derek Chisora has some advice for Moses Itauma.

Itauma has become one of the most exciting new breakout stars in boxing in the last year or so. He initially set his sights high and wanted to become the youngest ever heavyweight world champion. To do that, he would have had to have picked up a strap before turning 20, which is how old Mike Tyson was when he first won world honours.

However, that has now passed and Itauma and his team are now focused on building him properly. So far he has passed every test with flying colours – all 13 of his fights he has won, 11 of them with knockouts and nine have come really and inside just two rounds.

In November, he was at his best with a two-minute destruction of Dillian Whyte and now he takes on American Jermaine Franklin this weekend, with many people expecting him to go more rounds than most.

Speaking to Ring Magazine, ‘Del Boy’ was asked how Itauma might get on with Oleksandr Usyk were he to fight him any time soon, and he didn’t hold back with his view, and he isn’t the only one who thinks this.

“Usyk will bloke the smoke at him. Usyk will kill him.”

Usyk is one of the greatest heavyweights of the last 30 years, and for many people sits high in the all-time list. Her is history’s only two-time undisputed champion and has never lost in the ring, rarely looked hurt and has never legitimately been put down.

However, he has had a long career and is now approaching 40, so 2026 could be the best time to face him.
