Conor Benn has his next fight locked in but were he to come through that, he could be in line for a world title shot next.

Benn has not yet competed for a world title belt, though he has fought in high-profile contests, most recently with Chris Eubank Jr back in April.

The generational rivals put on a hugely entertaining show when they finally came to blows at 168lbs after more than two years of fractious build-up.

As the more experienced and naturally bigger man, it was Eubank who got a hold of that fight and saw out a unanimous points win after 12 hard rounds, though both men spent a night in the hospital recovering.

In November, they will go at it again at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium under the same rules, which means Benn will again move up in weight, and a rehydration class will again hamper Eubank on the morning of the fight that prevents him from putting on more than 10lbs from the weigh-in the day before.

If Benn comes through that fight unscathed, he has been told that new IBF welterweight champion Lewis Crocker would be willing to fight him, as explained by the Belfast man over the weekend.

“I think a massive fight is Conor Benn. I’ve respect for him. I think he’s an incredible fighter. It’s a mega fight to make, and it would be an honour to share the ring.”

Crocker beat his Limerick rival Paddy Donovan in a rematch of his own this past weekend. There were two early knockdowns on the way to a points win, which makes him one of the four belt holders in the division alongside Mario Barrios, Rolly Romero and Brian Norman Jr.
