One week on from the shock announcement that he had signed for Zuffa Boxing, Conor Benn’s highly-anticipated return to the ring has been confirmed.

The 29-year-old from London put pen to paper on a lucrative one-fight deal with Zuffa last week to bring an end to his 10-year partnership with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.

The announcement sent shockwaves through the sport with many fans and analysts expressing their disbelief at Benn’s decision to ditch Matchroom as he enters what could be a defining chapter in his professional career.

Benn was last in action back in November when he defeated domestic rival Chris Eubank Jr via unanimous decision at the conclusion of their thrilling rematch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

After days of speculation, it has now been confirmed that ‘The Destroyer’ will be facing a former two-time world champion in a matter of weeks.

As revealed by Netflix, Benn will make his much-anticipated return to the ring against two-time world super-lightweight champion Regis Prograis on at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday April 11.

‘The Destroyer’ will hock horns with Prograis on Tyson Fury’s upcoming return to the ring against Arslanbek Makhmudov in what will be his third consecutive appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Prograis has been inactive since he defeated Joseph ‘JoJo’ Diaz in their non-title contest at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago last August. The 37-year-old has previously faced the likes of Devin Haney, Jack Catterall and Josh Taylor.
