Conor Benn is busy vying for a position in the 147lbs division and has now called out one of its stars.

Benn is flying high after his wide points win over Chris Eubank Jr back in November 2025. That fight was a rematch of the first bout back in April, which was very different and saw Eubank impose himself and run away with a 12-round decision.

In the rematch, many onlookers agreed that Eubank looked well off the pace and might have been weight drained as the bigger man.

Either way, Benn has moved on and has his sights set on a world title. He has said he would be keen to fight either the winner of the Mario Barrios versus Ryan Garcia showdown on Saturday, February 21, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, or the WBA ruler Rolly Romero, who beat Garcia on points to win the belt back in May.

Now, he has also thrown another name into the hat while speaking to the Ariel Helwani Show and says he will be keeping a keen eye on Shakur Stephenson’s showdown with Teofimo Lopez this weekend.

“Listen I like Shakur, I like him, but I would happily bang him out. Happily. I’ll be there ringside. He said he will come get in my face, but do I believe him? Probably not. But I’m on my business. That’s why I’m here. We’ll see how he gets on, may the best man win.”

Stephenson is a multi-weight world champion who would likely be the hardest test of all, especially given that Benn has not yet fought at world level in his 25-fight career.
