Conor Benn is on a mission to fight for his first world title as soon as possible.
Been has spent the last chapter of his career focused on Chris Eubanks Jr. The pair are long-time rivals with generational beef that goes all the way back to their fathers, who fought in the 1990s.
The first fight saw him come out aggressively and compete well given his relativey in activty before that due to a ban for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, but he ultimately lost a wide points decision. The second fight saw him much improved. Benn dominated and ran out the unanimous winner after 12 rounds, though Eubank looked weight drained and hardly threw a punch in anger.
Benn is now looking to come back down to his more natural welterweight class, having fought up at 168lbs against Eubank.
The Brit has called out plenty of names, and last week was in the ring and going head-to-head with four-weight world champion Shakur Stevenson, who seemed keen on a fight later this year.
However, speaking to DAZN Boxing and ShowBizz The Adult, Benn admitted who his prime targets are for the rest of 2026.
“Rolly in May, or Garcia June/July. Or maybe Rolly in May, then Garcia in September.”
Rolly Romero has been the WBA ruler since August last year when he beat Ryan Garcia. Garcia has another shot at a title in April when he takes on WBC welterweight champion Marrio Barrios in the third defence of his crown on February 21.
