Terence Crawford cemented himself as the greatest fighter of his generation with a victory over Canelo Alvarez last Saturday.

The 37-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska defeated Canelo at a packed-out Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to capture the undisputed super-middleweight championship, becoming the first male fighter to achieve this in three separate weight classes.

The judges at ringside scored the bout 115-113, 115-113 and 116-112 all in favour of ‘Bud’ Crawford, in what was the pound-for-pound star’s first ever appearance at 168lbs, having spent the majority of the past decade campaigning at welterweight.

As rumours begin to circulate about what could be next for both fighters following their historic clash, Crawford’s trainer Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre has spoken out and shared his thoughts on what he believes Canelo should do next.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, ‘BoMac’ admitted that despite calls for the Mexican great to retire, he claims he would ‘love’ to see him fight again as he says the 35-year-old has ‘earned the right’ to do so.

“Yeah I’d love to see Canelo fight again man, if he wants to continue two or three more fights just let him go ahead and do it. He earned the right to do what he wanted to do and he fought some of the best fighters of his era, and when you get to that stage, it’s in his blood so go ahead Canelo, fight again two times, three times, four times, however many times you want.”

Having already won world titles in four weight classes, Canelo has achieved some incredible things during his professional career, suffering his only losses to three of the greatest fighters to have ever graced the sport in Crawford, Floyd Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol.
