Jake Paul‘s controversial showdown with Gervonta Davis was dealt a major blow last week after ‘Tank’ found himself in legal trouble once again.

‘The Problem Child’ was set to face the reigning WBA lightweight champion at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday November 14, although their exhibition bout now hangs in the balance just days away from fight night.

It was revealed last week that Davis had been the subject of another allegation of domestic violence, meaning that his upcoming bout with the YouTuber-turned-fighter could actually be cancelled.

In light of this shock news, Paul has been forced to weigh up a number of potential opponents that would be willing to step in to replace ‘Tank’ later this month.

One fighter in particular that could be the answer to Paul’s prayers is pound-for-pound superstar Terence Crawford, who recently cemented himself as arguably the greatest fighter of his generation when he defeated Canelo Alvarez back in September.

Speaking to Club Shay Shay, Crawford initially said he wouldn’t be interested with a fight against ‘The Problem Child’, but was asked what he would do should there be a $200 million offer on the table.

Crawford dethroned Mexican icon Canelo of his undisputed super-middleweight championship in their historic bout at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 13, becoming the first male fighter to achieve this exceptional feat in three weight classes.

He is now currently taking some time away from the sport, and while a bout with Paul remains unlikely, there are reports suggesting that ‘Bud’ could be set to move down to middleweight to target one fighter in particular.
